Las Vegas Neil Diamond Tribute Show

ROB GARRETT’S “KING OF DIAMONDS” Vegas residency show is still thrilling audiences in the “Alexis Park Modern Showrooms” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.

Music icon Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

In addition to being one of the biggest selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also composed the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In January 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond stepped away from live performances after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences throughout the world through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, known as America’s premier Neil Diamond tribute performer.

Ask Alexa “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll hear the same name.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In May 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to Las Vegas, where, two years later, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before deciding to move from lead singer of a cover band to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his musical idols.

In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by Paul Revere, leader of “The Raiders” to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a limited run turned into a three-year success.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to go independent.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.

Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer best Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
